The Pride Packing List: Underwear Edition

Pride is a marathon disguised as a party. Between the parade, the afterparty, the after-afterparty and whatever happens at the beach the next morning, your outfit will change three times - and the one layer that stays with you through all of it is the one most guys pack last.

Fix that. Here is the bottom-layer packing list we actually use.

Day one: the parade

Heat, glitter, dancing, and at least one moment where your shirt comes off and your waistband becomes part of the outfit. This is jock territory. The Pineapple Punch Jock has a wide ribbed waistband that reads from a distance and a cut that keeps everything supported through six hours of standing, marching and questionable choreography.

Pack: one jock for the day, one spare in the bag. You will thank us at hour five.

Night one: the party

Whatever you wear over it, wear something under it that earns the reveal. Loud prints work at night because they photograph well under flash - the Inferno Strawberry Brief and the Cherry Bomb Brief are the two we see most in tagged photos, and there is a reason.

Day two: recovery brunch

Comfort takes over. A soft trunk in modal - the Banana Blaze Trunk is the obvious call, partly for the fabric, mostly because showing up to brunch in bananas is a bit, and Pride brunch rewards bits.

The travel rules

  • One pair per day, plus two. Pride math is not regular math.
  • Modal for travel days, cotton for long days out. Modal packs smaller and dries faster in a hotel sink.
  • Keep one unworn pair in its packaging. Gifting a pair mid-weekend is a power move.

Dates that matter in 2026

Tel Aviv Pride lands in June, NYC and San Francisco close June, Berlin's CSD and Amsterdam Pride carry July into August, and Madrid runs the biggest one in Europe in early July. If your summer calendar has more than one of these on it, the full lineup exists precisely for you.
